Consignment Policy

All consignments are done by appointment only. Up to thirty (30) items per appointment may be consigned with The Growing Tree. All clothing must be on plastic hangers in good-to-excellent condition, wrinkle-free , clean without holes or stains, odor free, in style (not more than 2-3 years old) and in season (items that look better, sell better), Souvenir shirts will not be accepted.

Customers will receive a computer print-out of the items left with The Growing Tree, along with prices and final consignment date, before leaving the store.

Consignments will be accepted during the following months:
January-May Spring/Summer
July-November Fall/Winter

All consignors will receive 50% of the purchase price of items sold during the approximately 90-day consignment period. Consignors that choose to pick up any items not sold must do so by the last day of their consignment period. ALL ITEMS NOT PICKED UP BY THE FINAL CONSIGNMENT DATE BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE GROWING TREE. It is not the responsibility of The Growing Tree to notify consignors that they have items to pick up.

Checks will be mailed within 10-14 days from the end of the consignment period, however the consignor may use any credit acquired from items sold during the consignment period to make purchases at The Growing Tree. A consignment fee of 10 cents per item will be deducted from your final check to cover processing costs. The Growing Tree reserves the right to sell your items at a discounted price, however items consigned will not be reduced more than 20% over the 90-day consignment period.

Under no circumstances will The Growing Tree be liable for damage or loss caused by robbery, theft, fire, water, moths or any cause of the same or different nature. All articles are left with the consignee at the sole risk of the consignor.
